I know it's not technically summer anymore, but with all the insanity at work, it's been really difficult to find time to tinker on the motion project I started a couple months ago. Anyway-- here's  some test footage I put together this weekend.

The helicopter gets a little too wobbly at the end, and the transitions are temporary, but I'm starting to like where it's headed.

Below are a few After Effects pieces I put together for our new website at work, which is scheduled to launch this week.

Here's a little sneek preview of some footage I'm putting together for a motion experiment and/or demo reel. Needs some fine tuning, but I'm pretty proud of it so far.

Very excited about this one-- a snippet from an After Effects piece I created for the 2007-08 Liquid Compass website. This little intro sequence will be the first AE motion graphic I've ever published professionally. Pretty happy about that. 

Here's a rough, early test animation I made as a learning exercise. I'm a complete newbie to After Effects, so the timing isn't exactly where I want it to be, and I have a lot of layers yet to add, but as a first effort, it's not bad. It's definitely got me pumped about the possibilities...

I've always gotten a lot of enjoyment from animating, but the idea of learning this new program and stepping beyond Flash and the web is truly a big thrill for me.  It's a gonna be a huge step towards designing motion for broadcast-- which is ultimately want I want to do for a living -- so I'm really, really excited.
