Maui Trip - 2007 --Part 2
August 23, 2007

Part of our hotel's lounge area in Ka'anapali.

The plantation golf course at Kapaulua. (Being the giant dork that I am, I was excited to see what the real thing looked like after playing it so many times on my XBOX 360.)
Koi pond at our hotel in Ka'anapali. (Below: our hotel.)

Our actual hotel room was nothing spectacular, but I thought the grounds were quite pretty, and the area was super low-key and quiet, so we ended up really loving it.

One of the hundreds of beaches in Wailuku, on the Northwest side of Maui. This one was fairly non-touristy. Nice.

We saw this bottlenose dolphin in the channel between Maui and Lana'i.

Another gratuitous sunset shot. I think my grandparents had a photo mural of something like this in their basement for a while. It was pretty bitchin'.

It took the ship's captain a while to figure out how to get my flash to work, and by this time I'd had a couple of boat-drinks and wasn't much help, so we didn't quite get the sunset in the frame. Nuts.
More footage from the luau we went to in Ka'anapali.

This is what our hotel parking lot looked like. A slight improvement over my spot in Writer's Square, where I typically surface to see some guy pressure-washing vomit off the curb from last night's bar-goers on Larimer.
